Heroes Holiday

Shields of Hope would like to support several families struggling from cancer that could use some Holiday Cheer! Selected families will receive needed gifts delivered by the members of Shields of Hope.

What is Heroes Holiday?

Heroes Holiday started in 2014 as a way to support local families struggling around the holidays with much-needed supplies, household goods, and gifts. Each year at least 5 families are selected through a 3rd party nomination process.

Our motto is No One Fights Alone. Now is when one of our youngest warriors needs a team of prayer warriors to back her up! (this photo was taken a few weeks ago at our Heroes Reunion) Reese Holmes is 2 years old and had clear scans 6 weeks ago after her recent fight with brain cancer. An MRI this week showed new spots near her cerebellum and brain stem which are inoperable at DeVos. There is a small glimmer of hope that the spots are a side affect from the radiation and not cancer. Please join us in praying this is the case! If so, they will disappear on their own. She has another MRI and spinal tap very soon. If positive they know it's cancer. Please pray the tests come back negative. Reese, her two older sisters, and her mom and dad would greatly appreciate your prayers that these tests come back NEGATIVE. We are here for you Christopher and & Jennie Holmes Family! No One Fights Alone! ...
